New Website features
Last month we introduced our newly designed
www.citynet.net website. The site is completely new and is extremely easy to navigate. Since our introduction, our people have continued to refine the site and we have added some new features and new information about Citynet.
When you visit citynet.net take a look just below the box that contains the product tabs. You’ll see some wording that provides valuable links to other Citynet features. As a Citynet customer, did you know that you can easily check your email anywhere you go just by visiting us on the web? If you have internet access you can, and we make it easy for you when you click on the word "Citymail". This link will take you to your internet email login page. Just enter your information and password and your new email messages will appear. You can also access your email via
http://webmail.citynet.net.
Another feature is the expanded "Customer Satisfaction Surveys". By clicking on that link you will directed to our various Customer surveys. They include:
- Citynet Digital Phone: If you are a Citynet Digital Phone customer we’d love to hear your thoughts on the service.
- Customer Phone Manager: This is where you control your own phone service. Let us know how you feel about this.
- Website Survey: Rate our new website.
- Online Account Manager: At Citynet, you control your own account. We’d love to know what you think of this.
We’ve even included two surveys on your perception of Citynet’s value and reliability.
Now, in this day and time, how many companies that you deal with make it this easy to provide feedback on what you think and how you like the services or value that you receive?
We have heard from a number of customers and here is what two had to say:
A Mr. Ross wrote: "I changed from VOIP.com to you all and so far I have had excellent service and no problems. Customer support is great."
In response to our new website an anonymous respondent wrote: "I have had many internet providers including People PC, MSN, and AOL. I wanted to try a local internet provider. I have had no problems whatsoever with Citynet. It's a pleasure to work with them."
We would love to know your thoughts as well. Just visit our new website and clink on the customer survey link.
Citynet Interactive Intelligence
Citynet’s Managed Network Services division is proud to introduce our new Interactive Intelligence product through our newly established Elite Partner status with Interactive Intelligence, Inc.
What is Interactive Intelligence? "This is a software solution that works as a Traditional or a VoIP based business telephone service that will increase a business’s productivity by more than 50%" said Luther Toney, CTO – Citynet Retail Division. This solution allows for the convergence of many services that were normally housed on different servers or pieces of equipment in a legacy telephone environment. Now, Auto Call Distribution allows for voice mail, web chat, faxing, call center call recording, and will handle various media applications such as call queueing and call conferencing. A wonderful feature for customer service groups are the screen pop-ups which contain the caller account information so that your business customer service rep can see which customer is calling and what their call history is (before the call is even answered).
Craig Behr, VP/General Manager – Citynet Managed Network Services, said "Interactive Intelligence works with any business PBX, Centrex, or VoIP (Digital Phone) product and can even aid greatly in disaster recovery planning for any business. It will allow the control and flexibility that customers demand and yet provide the business a very exciting return on their investment. Our technicians have spent many training hours to become certified in this new product, and they are ready to provide the installation and customer support that our customers have come to expect from us."

Extreme Home Makeover®
ABC’s Emmy Award winning reality series Extreme Home Makeover is in Fairmont, WV to greatly improve the lives of the Turner family. Ty Pennington and his team were in town and Citynet is proud to be a small part of the endeavor.
As the network’s show name clearly states, the Fairmont segment involves the crew in a true transformation of a home into a state-of-the-art living environment for the family. Citynet will be providing website design, web hosting, and access while the crew is in the North Central West Virginia community. "We are very happy to be working with the City leaders, the show producers, and the design team in providing web support to this very important project" said Drew Pomeroy, Citynet Senior Vice President of Marketing. Frank Boscarillo, COO - Citynet’s Retail Division, summed it up by saying "This is an exciting project for us and one that will really help a family that truly deserves the assistance. Even to play a small role in this project is wonderfully exciting and a role we treasure."
Extreme Home Makeover airs Sundays at 8pm on ABC. The Fairmont/Turner segment has yet to be scheduled but the Producers are hoping for a March 2008 air date. Check your local cable or satellite schedule.
